World War I

The First World War started back in 1914 in an age of fashion and modern technology. The War was initiated after the assassination of the Austro-Hungarian Archduke Duke Franz Ferdinand in Austria-Hungary, currently known as Turkey. Serbs and Bosnians living in a part of Austria didn't want to be a part of Hungary anymore; instead wanted to be a part of Serbia.

On the 28th of March 1914, the Archduke took a drive to the area where the Serbs and Bosnians lived, and the assassins threw bombs at the car. But they missed the duke and accidentally blew the car behind them that carried two officers.

The Archduke goes back to the hospital to visit the injured officers. On their way back, the driver takes a wrong route and stumbles upon the assassins again. This time the assassin takes advantage of the open rooftop of the car and shoots the Archduke and his wife Sofie dead. The Austrian Government held the Serbian Government accountable for the assassination.

They thought the Serbian Government was behind the attack, so they joined forces with Germany and declared War against Serbia. Serbia had good relations with Russia, and Russia had connections with France. So, Russia, France, and Serbia allied together and declared War against Austria and Germany, the 'Central Power .'That is how the Great War started.

British decided to stay Neutral. However, when they tried to invade Belgium, the British army showed up against the Germans and was also on the Neutral side. Germany had difficulty getting through the advanced French military barricade along the German borders, so they planned to invade France through Belgium, which caused Great Britain to join the War. After the arrival of the British army, the Belgium army gained strength and prevented the Germans from invading their country.

Nonetheless, the initial attack caused much damage in Belgium, from mass genocides to rape and innocent deaths, which was a catalyst for a new Propaganda extravaganza. This Propaganda greatly influenced America, which caused the Americans Citizens, including the ethnic Germans living in the USA, to protest against the War. Russian soldier soon joins in the fight when the Austrian army tries to break through the Russian borders but fails.

Upon the shortcoming of the Austrians, Germany sends troops from Belgium to defend the Austrian borders from Russia. Back on the Western Front, The French Commander-in-chief Joseph Joffre ordered his armies to fight back instead of retreating. The Germans dug underground to make trenches, and France and the British followed along, creating a long trench system towards North Belgium.

It is how the trench warfare on the Western Front began that lasted for years till 1918 when the Allies increased the use of Tanks. Australia joined the allies' side and took over German New Guinea; besides Australia, other Allies also took over German Colonies in Africa, including the German East Africa. Japan also joined the Allies. Japan was growing itself into an empire back then and easily took over the German Islands in the East Asian coats.

The British navy blocked the naval, which restricted Germany's access to food Imports. Italy rebelled against Austria and German, with whom it had close connections, and managed to open up the Mountains in Austria. However, like the other surrounding German Borders, they were also stuck in a stalemate with the German defense. Later, the Ottoman Empire, already suffering from the War with the Balkans, decided to join forces with the Central Powers and fight against the Allies.

The Ottoman was located in the Middle East Back then. Even though a majority of the Ottoman Empire refused to go through another war, some Politicians went behind their back and attacked Russia in the Caucasus Mountains, but they didn't equip themselves for the cold beforehand, and the Ottoman Troops died on large a scale. After the failed attempt, they tried to take over the Suez Canal from the British by crossing through a long desert. However, that didn't work out either.

The Ottomans blamed the ethnic Armenian living in their territory, resulting in another mass genocide with millions of deaths of the Armenian population. On the other hand, the Allies tried to take over Gallipoli in a long and harsh trench warfare campaign but failed to take control like their opposite forces. At this point, everybody was fighting and fortifying against each other without being able to move forward.

The Germans finally decided to send spies to Afghanistan to try and pursue the violent tribes to announce Jihad against British India back then. Nevertheless, this attempt failed as the spies broke Islamic laws of brewing alcohol which caused the Afghans to turn against them. Germans were desperate to break the stalemate, which ended up in having them attack civilian ships, air raiding British Cities, and evacuating the ally trench with Chlorine gas which resulted in a lot of death of the soldiers stuck in the trench.

At this point, the Germans broke the Set of rules established in the Conference of Modern Warfare before the starting of the War, which included the protection of civilians and termination of Chemical weapons. Simultaneously, Austria and Serbia were still fighting, joined by the Bulgarian troops. With the help of Bulgaria, Austria managed to invade Serbia and drive the Serbians through Albania. Albania was part of the Neutral countries.

However, they had good relations with Hungary and let the Central Powers completely vanquish Serbians from that territory and into the sea. Meanwhile, around 1916, Greece was having conflict within the country as the KingKing wanted to join the Central power while the Prime Minister wanted to help the Allies, which divided the country in half, but the KingKing was abdicated, and Greece joined the Allies. The allies surrounded the Ottoman Empire from all sides.

Around the same time, Russia lost almost all of its supplies, and a revolution occurred within the country. The existing Government was overthrown, and the new Communists decided to pull Russia out of the War.

Meanwhile, America, which was growing its economy by selling food and resources to the Allies, decided to join the War. The Central Power fought back but was too weak against the Allies, and they collapsed. Germany finally surrendered on the 11th of November 1918, marking the end of WWI.
