Nouns are names of people, places, things, and quality. Examples: Last week I went to Canada. My uncle, and aunt, and my cousin. Sohana was very happy to get me among them. I have a deep friendship with Sohana. Sohana is a very brilliant student- She wants to join the army after the completion of HSC. We visited many places in Canada together. One day we went to a departmental store. She bought some necessary items like milk, bread, butter, In the above sentences, Canada and Sohana indicate particular names, uncle, aunt, cousin, student| are the names common to all of their class, milk, bread, butter, and honey indicate the name substances, friendship is the name of quality and the word army indicate a group of soldiers. What is common to all the bold words? All of them are nouns because they indicate names. Classification of NounNouns are mainly of two types: (i) Concrete and (ii) Abstract
