We usually hold the files on the hard drive indefinitely. When we perform various activities, the structure of these files may become disordered or disorganized. This is why time is wasted while performing file-access tasks.

The aim of disc fragmentation is to avoid wasting time by keeping the files in a logical order. It also aids in maintaining the computer's speed. As a result of daily defragmentation, files open easily.
