Antibiotic induced rash. *Uncommon: Neurological:Cranial nerve palsy,polyneuritis,Transverse myelitis,Meningoenchephalitis. Haematological:Haemolytica anaemia,Thrombocytopenia.
Renal:Glomerulonephritis,interstitial nephritis . Cardiac:Myocarditis,pericarditis. *Rare: Ruptured spleen,Respiratory obstruction,Agranulocytosis,Agammaglobulinaemia. Management: If a throat culture yields a streptococcus,erythromycin should be pescribed.When pharyngeal oedema is severe ashort course of corticosteroids e.g: prednisolon 30 mg daily for 5 days.
