Difference between endoplasmic reticulum and golgi body

Published on 29-Jun-2022

Endoplasmic reticulum

The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is a tubular net-like structure with hollow cavities in the cytoplasm that extends from the nucleus to the cell membrane.

It serves as a protoplasmic structure and a site for protein synthesis.

It also has an internal conduction feature.

Golgi body

The Golgi body is an organelle that has a smooth, long tube or sac-like structure that stays united near the nucleus.

Proteins are stored in Golgi bodies, and hormones are secreted.
